In the new year of 2014 my daughter captured this photograph of my grandson and I.
The only youthful health in this image is rested on my right hip.
I look bloody old. Looking at my wasted and thin arms, I’m reminded of my father and how he let his muscles deplete away with his age.
The thought of my health following the same direction as my father’s terrified me.
I said goodbye to the potato chips, the beers and instead welcomed the very necessary presence of a personal trainer and nutrition plan.

My goal was never to be the world's largest body builder, but to be healthy and toned.
​
I truly believe that I look healthier, and even younger, now than I did four years ago.
​
Throughout my journey to a more youthful health, I've encountered many inspirations, and to my surprise, have inspired some myself.
​
I'm no health professional, nutritionalist, personal trainer...
I'm just another human on their own hike to reach vitality.
​
My pain purpose of this blog is simple - to enlighten and inspire.
I'm hoping to do this through stories of my own, and also incredible stories of others who I've been most fortunate in meeting.

I hope this blog sparks some form of motivation for you and that I see you here often.
